  • According to A Mary Moore, Reporter-Boston Business Journal, no increase in diversity seen among Mass employers. A survey of 106 employers participating in the Commonwealth Compact diversity initiative shows that, on average, 26 percent of their workforces were comprised of minority employees in 2011. That’s the same percentage reported by compact members for 2008 levels, and essentially thesame as the 27 percent reported in the group’s first report, for 2007 levels.
     

  • According to the WorldBank Sub-Saharan economies are set to grow by more than 5%

WHY WE DO IT

 

  • With a population of about 1.2 billion people and about 67 million of them living out of their countries of birth, we believe Africa and Africans matter in today's economy. 

  • The number of people in Africa in the 25-59 year age bracket - classed as the main working-age population - is projected to reach one billion by 2050. This implies a doubling of its share of world population workforce from 12% to 23%.

  • 70% of Diaspora African MBA graduates would like to go back home as entrepreneurs but lack access to value-add capital and support system.

  • 40% of African immigrants have at least a 4-year degree but don't make it to the executive C-level position.

  • Despite its number of talents Africa is still behind in innovation and remains non-competitive.
